Where we are going we don't need roads

One of the main problems that Guatemala faces is lack of good infrastructure. This is due to arbitrary regulations from the government when considering roads as a public good, when they are not. Unfortunately a lot of economic and political capital is needed to change that. We propose to see further ahead, to dismiss such a debate and find a never thought opportunity. What if we discard the "road" element from the equation? How would you transport goods around a country? Do we have the tech to do so? YES we do. Drones have became a thing this last couple of years. Amazon is looking forward to use them to deliver packages, but what if we could use them to deliver fruits and vegetables? What if all our country men needed to sell their product faster was an app that serves as a market, then a drone would come by to pick it up and take it to the person who bought it. If this little piece of fiction becomes a reality, then definitively where we are going we won't need any roads.
